The 550th Regular Meeting was held at the Iidabashi Volunteer Center and via Zoom.
We conducted our regular hybrid meeting today, centered around the theme “Tears and Growth.” In alignment with the theme, the Grammarian introduced the word of the day: “Adversity.” This was a special session in which we welcomed four distinguished guests in person and one guest online, making a total of five attendees.
The meeting featured two outstanding prepared speeches: one reflecting on the power of listening, and the other delivering humor through a story about the traditional Nozawana pickle. The evaluators offered encouraging comments along with insightful and constructive feedback.
The Table Topics Master prepared a series of engaging questions, which were displayed on-screen. Adding a creative twist, she included a tall tale prompt and a speculative question based on a manga drawing of a crying child. The speakers responded with imagination and spontaneity. One of the guests was also invited to deliver an impromptu speech during the session.
At the conclusion of the meeting, winners were announced and commemorative photos were taken. Following the session, many members gathered for lunch—providing an opportunity to deepen connections and strengthen the spirit of camaraderie that defines our club community.
