Due to the absence of our President M.T, our VP C.E. announced the start of the meeting. Our TMoM of the meeting was TM M.S., who introduced the theme of the meeting ‘Women and Gyoza (Chinese dumpling)’, which were special naming given to the date of March 8th.
Our WoD M.K., who contributed triple roles for the meeting, suggested the word ‘cohesion, cohesive’ for us to use during the meeting.
In the Educational Session, two speakers gave prepared speeches.
In the first speech, TM Y.K. gave a speech ‘The result I hesitated to make’ based on her recent experience at an Indian wedding ceremony. She talked about the difference between passive and assertive communication styles and emphasized our acquirement of the latter skill.
In the second speech, TM G.S. gave a speech ‘The era of scarcity’ describing the current water shortage situation of his country and comparing it with ours, and struck our hearts on the problem of water shortage on the globe.
Table-Topic session was conducted by TM M.A. based on the theme of the meeting. Five interesting questions were given about our memories of women, Gyoza, and other related topics, and our guest Ms J.K. also enjoyed the session.
In the Evaluation Session, TM. H.Y. conducted the session as GE.
The first evaluator, TM. S.Y. commended the speaker’s choice of the topic and message to the audience based on actual on-the-spot experience.
The second evaluator, TM. R.M. commended the confidence and posture of the speaker during the speech, and an eye-opening message to the audience.
The meeting was reviewed by a short quiz session conducted by TM. S.N.

It was a very fruitful and enlightening meeting with a guest who joined our meeting for the second time. Next regular meeting will be on March 22nd, in hybrid, and at Tokyo Volunteer Center in Iidabashi.
