The meeting started on time with the President’s open remarks.
The meeting theme was “Sweet Escape” presented by the Toastmaster of the Morning (TMOM). He presented this theme because he went to Okinawa for holidays but back to his place with the storm! It was his bitter-sweet escape from chaotic daily works!
We received one guest from Tokyo, the others from Beijing and the United States.
This is the distinguished characteristic of the Toastmasters club for we could receive our fellows leveraging our global network!
Semi-hybrid meeting
Table Topic Session was conducted by our regular special guest TM B.A. attended from the United States. She gave us very creative questions using Richard Marks’ songs. We listed to the very first part of his songs and seven participants made impromptu speeches inspired by the songs!
Prepared Speech Session
We had one prepared speaker who was TM M.A. It was her very first speech after joining our club. It is called an “icebreaker speech”. With this speech, we could know her better!
Evaluation Session
We had two evaluators for TM M.A.’s speech. As previously mentioned, it was her very first speech so that a full of encouragements were included in their evaluations as well as concrete advice for her future speech projects.
