Meeting on 3/11/2026 with two Prepared speakers.
On March 11, 2026, our regular meeting was held with two prepared speeches.
The meeting was promptly opened on time by President C.E., who began by asking members about the best places to see and enjoy the full bloom of cherry blossoms. It was a delightful way to start the meeting.
Our Toastmaster of the Meeting (TMoM), H.Y., introduced the theme, “Step in Time” from the musical Mary Poppins. He even sang the song for the members, creating an amusing and lively atmosphere.
TM Z.K. introduced the Word of the Day, “Second-guess yourself,” followed by the introduction of the key meeting roles.
In the Educational Session, our first prepared speaker, TM B.S., shared his earthquake experience from Nepal when he was a student. His speech opening was powerful, and his delivery has noticeably improved—a testament to how all Toastmasters grow better with each speech.
The second prepared speaker, TM M.T., spoke on “Creating the Best Club Climate.” He highlighted some great qualities of our club and recommended using AI as an assistant.
The Table Topics session was conducted by TM C.E. on behalf of TM M.A., who was unable to attend. TM M.A. prepared beautiful slides and interesting questions based on the meeting theme. We all enjoyed answering the questions and treasured the opportunity to learn more about our fellow members' personal lives through their responses.
During the Evaluation Session, TM H.Y. and TM S.N. highlighted the strengths of each prepared speech and offered constructive suggestions for improvement, helping us learn and grow together.
This was our first meeting at Bunkyo Kumin Center in three years, after holding previous meetings at the Tokyo Voluntary Active Center in Iidabashi. Long-term members felt a sense of nostalgia, as if returning to an old home where we used to meet. If you live near Bunkyo Kumin Center, please feel free to drop by. Our next meeting will be held on April 25, and you will be more than welcome!

Awards:
• Best Table Topics Speaker: TM M.T.
