We held our 554th regular meeting in a hybrid format, with twelve members and one guest
in attendance. The meeting theme was “The Art of Negotiations” presented by the
Toastmaster of the Morning (TMOM) , TM MA. Although she appeared nervous at first—it
being her very first time as TMOM—her excellent facilitation and thorough preparation led
to a smooth and successful meeting!
Prepared Speech Session
We had two engaging prepared speeches from TM SN and TM EA.
TM SN delivered a speech on project management. At a previous meeting, she presented
her plan, and this time, she shared the results. Her project focused on a visit to the Osaka
Expo. Thanks to her careful preparation, the trip was a great success!
TM EA gave his Ice Breaker speech. Though new to our club, he is an experienced
Toastmaster from the Philippines. His confident delivery belied his past experience of
freezing during a speech—proof that challenges can be overcome with perseverance and
the courage to try again.
Table Topics Session
The Table Topics session, led by TM BS, featured a creative twist! Speakers were asked to
express two opposing perspectives on a single topic. Our guest did an outstanding job
embodying two personas while debating whether to give up a seat to an elderly person on
a train.
Evaluation Session
We had a constructive and motivational evaluation session led by TM HY and TM MT. Their
evaluations were excellent models for others to learn from. One focused in depth on two
specific aspects with clear reasoning, while the other offered multiple detailed insights,
providing a well-rounded example of effective feedback through concrete demonstration.
Awards

Business Session
As the current Toastmasters term comes to an end, we held an installation ceremony for
the incoming officer team. We expressed our deep appreciation to the outgoing team, led
by TM MT, for fostering a warm, supportive learning environment. Best wishes to the new
officers as they begin their term!
